ఇంటెల్ సహ వ్యవస్థాపకుడు, మాజీ సీఈఓ ఆండ్రూ గ్రోవ్ సోమవారం రోజు లాస్ ఆల్టోస్ లోని తన స్వగృహం లో చనిపోయారు. అతని వయసు 79 సంవత్సరాలు.

ఆండ్రూ గ్రోవ్ 1968 లో సహచరులైన రాబర్ట్ నాయిస్, గోర్డాన్ మూర్ లతో కలిసి ఇంటెల్ సంస్థను స్థాపించి సెమీ కండక్టర్ మైక్రో చిప్స్ రంగం లో  విప్లవాత్మక మార్పులకు కారణమయ్యాడు . సిలికాన్ వ్యాలీ లో ఆయనకు ఎనలేని గౌరవం ఉంది. 1997 లో టైం మ్యాగజైన్ నుండి ది మ్యాన్ ఆఫ్ ది ఇయర్ పురస్కారాని పొందారు. ఆయన మృతికి సిలికాన్ వ్యాలీ ప్రముఖులు ట్విట్టర్ లో సంతాపం వ్యక్తం చేసారు.
